Yala & Galle 2-Days Tour
This two-day tour ticks off everything you'd expect from Sri Lanka - from wildlife sanctuaries to ancient temples. Explore the walled city of Galle, visit a turtle hatchery and discover Yala National Park and the Udawalawe elephant transit home.
Surrounded by the sea, Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a maze of Dutch colonial-era streets. There's also a trip to the Kosgoda turtle hatchery. You can also watch the Instagram-famous southern tradition of stilt fishing. And there's also a visit to the Weherahena Viharaya temple, which is surrounded by a giant Buddha.
Over the two days, you'll also enjoy a safari in Yala National Park. As your 4WD weaves through the grasslands, try to spot sloth bears, leopards and crocodiles. And you'll also stop by the Udawalawe elephant transit home. Watch how the calves are fed and learn how they are released back into the wild.

Day 1 - Galle

Sea Turtle Project Kosgoda
You will be picked up from your hotel at 8.30am and drive to Galle. En route you will have the opportunity to visit the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Hatchery, where sea turtles are kept in Sri Lanka. You can spend time seeing and understanding how turtle eggs are rescued from beaches and how the hatcheries help protect this species.
Afterwards, continue to Galle and visit Galle Dutch Fort. Built by the Portuguese in 1588, the fort offers a unique blend of European architecture and South Asian traditions due to its colorful history and multi-ethnic population.

Stilt fishermen
Here you can observe the ancient and amazing custom of using stilts for fishing. These fishermen are often seen on the beaches at sunset, midday and sunrise. They go into the water with their sticks and plant them in the seabed, balancing themselves on a crossbar attached to the pole.
Day 2 - Yala

Yala National Park
Early in the morning, start your safari at Yala National Park! Enjoy an exciting safari in the so-called dry zone, where it rains mainly during the monsoon season. It is home to wild animals like leopards, elephants and crocodiles, as well as hundreds of bird species. Yala National Park is especially famous for leopards, where it is said that there is no other place in this world where you would find these wild cats. It is also a great place to look out for elephants roaming in herds.
Optional: 3 Hours Safari or Full Day Safari
After your adventurous safari, drive back to your hotel and check out.

Real people, real experiences
We had the opportunity to take part in two one-day and one two-day trip to Sri Lanka with Tony Sri Lanka Tours and we are delighted! The entire organization was at the highest level - from punctuality, through a refined plan, to flexibility towards our expectations- we were travelling with kids. We traveled in a comfortable car with a fantastic driver. Our guide Little Tony shared with us his huge knowledge about his beautiful country. He was extremely helpful, caring and patient. He made sure that the trips took place in a good atmosphere.
An additional advantage is that the trips are affordable.
We highly recommend Tony Sri Lanka Tours to everyone who wants to discover Sri Lanka in its most beautiful edition!
